Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens. Carl Jung

I am aware that I have been given the privilege of being involved in a great cause, the care and education of children.  When I have told others what I do professionally there are comments of  “how righteous and noble,” or you are so wonderful to do this.

Kind words are always appreciated but I must never “believe my own press.”  This is because I am at risk of placing the cause, as a mask in the front of what I personally want or think is the right thing to do.  The vision needs to remain clear. An action that is motivated by recognition or a need for power will never serve the students, staff, and community.

With and for awareness I will examine my motives, drop into my heart, share with trusted others, and the right answers will come.

It almost sounds like you are beating yourself up. It is okay to be proud of yourself. It seems to me that you have the kids best interest at heart and don’t ever apologize for that. I also don’t think that you are doing this for the recognition as there are many other vocations that would have put you in the spotlight.

Don’t stop doing what you are doing, but don’t be so hard on yuorself as well.
