Sandra’s deep passion is Response to Intervention, where she co-creates effective systems to enrich and support all students’ learning. She has consulted on RTI to numerous school districts, and is passionate about supporting teachers, mentoring aspiring principals and being a lifelong learner herself.
Sanda Trach is Principal of Estabrook School in historic Lexington, Massachusetts. She has also served as Principal of Woodside School in Topsham, Maine and Learning Strategist in the Portland Public Schools, Maine. Sandra is inspired by the profound dedication and continuous learning of her staff, colleagues, parents, students and community members. Her schools have been awarded Outstanding Culture, Climate and Wellness state awards, with her current school also acknowledged for high academic growth at the state level.
Sandra believes in the authenticity of connecting, listening and supporting as leadership art forms. She engages in shared leadership to co-create the conditions for success in schools. Sandra believes that a growth mindset is requisite for learning and change, and that adaptive forms of change must be the norm in a learning organization.
Her greatest love in life is her family; especially being a mother to her two precious children, who inspire her every day that children are our greatest gift in the world.
